Minutes for the Public Workshop of LCB File No. R105-03

1. The workshop meeting began at 9:15 a.m. All present were identified and signed in.

2. Board Members and Staff Present: Phillip Minton, Wendy Gallerani (Executive
Director), Ned Reed (Deputy Attorney General), Dave Edwards, Daniel Royal, Linda Read, Fuller Royal

Public Members Present: Robert Field, A.P.H., Frank Shallenberger, M.D., H.M.D.

3. The Board of Homeopathic Medical Examiners is proposing to adopt amendments to Nevada Administrative Code chapter 630A. Suggested changes to the proposed regulation, LCB File No. R105-03, were not substantial and consisted of minor wording changes and additions to several sections. Changes/addtions were requested by a member of the public, Dr. Schallenberger, Board members in attendance, and the Board's legal counsel. Additional language was requested to better define terms within the regulation.

See Attachment for changes made during the workshop to LCB File No. R105-03. The changes are in green coloring.

4. Public comments:

Robert Field, A.P.H., had provided the Board with a written response prior to the workshop. He questioned whether the term, "complementary alternative," when added to the definition of the practice of homeopathy would impact students being trained at the Resonance School of Homeopathy. The curriculum of the school is designed to teach only "classical" homeopathy.

Dr. Schallenberger requested that additional definitions be added to the proposed regulations. These were incorporated into the proposed regulation for the Board to consider during the Board Hearing pertaining to LCB File No. R105-03.

5. Meeting adjourned at 10:32 a.m.
